Curious And Curiouser: Expansion of the Embryo
Recently, I’ve been making a website to promote my creative projects, with the added twist of putting my livelihood on the line.
The main idea behind my website is to take a huge risk and pursue what I enjoy, rather than continue in my current career, which I don’t entirely enjoy. This means exchanging the security of a well-paid and regular income for ‘The Writer’s Struggle’. Currently, I’ve only written a few songs, but want to branch out into poetry and fiction writing. I really am starting from scratch: the best relief for any itch!
I hope that this premise and uncertainty will prove interesting enough for others to follow my real-life character, and get to know me along this path of likely failures and possible success. In fact, I am optimistic that people will even get involved, proving to be helper characters, or even villans. What will happen will certainly boil down to readership, if the blog goes down this path.
Can I, using the internet alone, eventually generate the same level of overnight ’success’ as say, a reality t.v. show? Is it possible?
I’m still exploring and expanding the idea behind my website and myself. As I continue to develop my website (it’s not yet ready for public release), I have considered shifting my blog to a popular blog space, such as wordpress. It took a while to get an activation link but I am here now, to try it out.
